Privacy Policy
1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how AI Journey Labs Pty Ltd (ABN 87 685 804 504) (“AI Journey Labs”, “AIJL”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you visit our website at https://www.aijourneylabs.com (the “Website”), contact us, or otherwise engage with us in the course of our business.
We are based in Sydney, Australia and handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
This policy covers personal information we handle as a business, including through our Website, marketing, sales and support activities. It does not cover data that our customers process inside their own cloud environment when they use our PathwAI product. Because PathwAI is deployed into the customer’s own cloud and we have no standing access to that data, the handling of customer and end-user data in the product is described separately in our PathwAI Data Processing and Subprocessors page.
2. The personal information we collect
Information you give us. When you complete a contact form, email or call us, request a demonstration, or engage us as a customer or supplier, we may collect your name, business email address, telephone number, company name, role, and the contents of your message or enquiry.
Information we collect automatically. When you visit the Website, we and our service providers may collect technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 9) using Google Analytics.
Information from other sources. We may receive limited business contact information from third parties such as referral partners, publicly available professional sources (for example LinkedIn or a company website), or event organisers.
We do not seek to collect sensitive information (such as health, racial or political information) through the Website, and we ask that you do not send it to us.
3. How we use personal information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your enquiries and provide the information or services you request;
- carry out, manage and administer our customer and supplier relationships, including delivery of PathwAI and related implementation services;
- send you business communications and marketing about our products and services, where permitted (you can opt out at any time);
- operate, maintain, secure and improve the Website and our business;
- comply with our legal, regulatory and contractual obligations; and
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
4. How we share personal information
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose it to:
- Service providers who help us run our business, such as cloud hosting, website hosting, email and analytics. These providers are listed, where relevant to our product and operations, in our PathwAI Data Processing and Subprocessors page, and are only permitted to use personal information to provide services to us.
- Professional advisers such as our lawyers, accountants and insurers, where reasonably necessary.
- Authorities and others where required or permitted by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public.
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
5. Overseas disclosure
We are located in Australia. Some of our service providers store or process personal information outside Australia, including in the United States (for example, our website host and our analytics provider). Before disclosing personal information to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
6. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or for as long as required to meet legal, accounting, tax or contractual obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it.
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, in line with good industry practice. This includes measures such as access controls, encryption in transit, and use of reputable cloud providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate or out of date;
- ask us to delete your information, where we are not required to keep it; and
- opt out of marketing communications at any time, by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 11. We will respond within the timeframes required by law, and you will not have to pay a fee unless permitted by law.
9. Cookies and analytics
The Website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used, including through Google Analytics. We do not currently use a cookie consent banner. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, although if you do, some parts of the Website may not function as intended.
10. Third-party links and children
The Website may contain links to third-party sites that we do not control and that have their own privacy practices. Our Website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Contact us and complaints
